Global LEAD has just announced three $1,000 scholarships to both Greece and Ecuador for summer 2012. Students can expect a life-altering summer traveling abroad full of backpacking adventures and international service.
Studying abroad in Ecuador will allow you to spend the summer outdoors horseback riding, mountain biking and whitewater rafting in the Amazon. While in Ecuador, you will explore colonial Quito and work with a local elementary school helping to develop after school programs.
Studying abroad in Greece will allow you to explore the entire country with time in Athens, Crete and Santorini. While in Greece, island hop, discover the birthplace of democracy and let’s not forget about the opportunity to go cliff-jumping into the Mediterranean.

Scholarship Application Directions
*You can only apply for scholarships after you have submitted your Global LEAD Online Application and deposit.

Deadline: (1) scholarship awarded to applications completed by January 27, 2012. (2) scholarships awarded to entire pool completed by final deadline of March 2, 2012
Awarded: February 15, 2012 for first deadline. March 9, 2012 for second deadline.
Global LEAD is seeking to honor 6 individuals (3 for each location) that specifically want to explore leadership and service in Ecuador or Greece. They are looking for motivated, involved and innovative students that are passionate about going abroad and expanding their comfort zone.
Qualifications include: These applicants should demonstrate leadership and service at home and on campus and apply for LEAD Greece or LEAD Ecuador. All students with a 2.5 GPA and significant leadership and service experience are eligible and encouraged to apply.
