- MASTER IN TEACHING DEGREE PROGRAM (MiT)is designed for individuals who have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and do not hold a current teaching certificate. MIT is a cohort based, team taught, and interdisciplinary program preparing candidates to be effective teachers with all children. Candidates completing MiT receive a Master in Teaching degree and Residency (beginning teacher) Certification in Washington state (recognized in most other states) in their endorsement area(s).
