Program Description:

Escape from the winter blues to study and explore one of the most environmentally diverse countries on the planet. For three or four weeks during January, you can spend your winter vacation studying, visiting beaches, and exploring the rainforest. Our January in Costa Rica program is not only a great use of your winter vacation, it’s also an amazing opportunity to gain some additional credit hours. You can take an intensive Spanish course designed to improve your language ability. Or maybe you would prefer to take a robust ecology course. Setting Description:

Enjoy Costa Rica’s year-round warm climate and peaceful, democratic culture! Costa Rica is bordered on one side by the Atlantic Ocean and on one side by the Pacific Ocean, giving it miles and miles of beaches along its shores! Nearly a quarter of the country is protected as national parks, meaning that you can explore and enjoy beautiful rivers, rainforests, and volcanoes and the astounding variety of plants and wildlife that call these areas home. Adventures abound in this country, as well. Try whitewater rafting, zip lining, surfing, hiking, and more during your stay in Costa Rica!
