Program Description:

London and Milan are synonymous with great art and design. When people talk of cities that have generated the most famous creative people and innovative work you can be sure that London and Milan appear at the top of the list. Both cities have some of the best fashion, art and retail experiences, exceptional architecture and are home for some of the world's top design companies. If you are a beginner and wish to build a portfolio and sample a real design school atmospheres at CSM and our partner institution, NABA, or an experienced student or designer who wishes to build upon existing skills at CSM and at our other partner institution, Domus Academy, then there will be a course in our 2013 programme for you.

There are three London Milan course sessions in 2013 Session 1 Courses: London course dates: 1 July - 11 July 2013 Milan course dates: 16 July - 26 July 2013 Fashion and Culture in London and Milan Fashion Styling and Image Creation: London Milan Fashion Business, Branding and Marketing: London Milan Session 2 Courses: London course dates: 8 July - 12 July 2013 Milan course dates: 15 July - 19 July 2013 Fashion Trends and Forecasting: London Milan Fashion Illustration: London Milan Session 3 Courses (Advanced): London course dates: 8 July - 12 July 2013 Milan course dates: 15 July - 19 July 2013 Fashion Design for Graduates and Professionals: London Milan

2 or 4 week courses that involve stays in both cities (35 or 45 hours in each city)

Setting Description:

Milan is the city of architects, designers, fashion stylists, entrepreneurs, graphic designers, creative minds and publishers. Students will find themselves in a thriving metropolis with an international dimension that hosts the main entrepreneurial and manufacturing activities in Italy: from advertising to the publishing industry, from small artisans’ shops to hi-tech companies. Milan is unanimously recognised as the world capital of design and creativity. Every year it hosts the International Furniture Fair (Salone Internazionale del Mobile), that – besides being the most important event in this sector at an international level, is also the occasion for a unique global business, communication and image exchange
