- Setting Description:
- Polimoda’s location in the Renaissance city of Florence plays a significant part in the Polimoda student experience. The school’s connections with the fashion industry are also enhanced by the proximity of the nearby leather industry and garment manufacturers of Tuscany. Students in both the undergraduate and masters courses come from a wide variety of international backgrounds. The school reports a relatively low student-teacher ratio of about six to one, meaning that each student is able to develop their skills at their own pace. Students scored the faculty, campus and workrooms highly in our survey. Whereas 93 percent of undergraduate students feel satisfactorily prepared for the industry, postgraduate students ranked the school’s careers services and quality of recruiters poorly. They identified lower-than-average levels of employment within six months of graduation comparative to other schools.
