A junior at SUNY Potsdam in upstate New York, Jessica is a Japanese
Studies major who will be finally visiting Japan for the first time. She
has studied the Japanese language for 2 ½ years, and will now be taking
language courses focusing on speaking and writing while in an immersive
environment. She will also be taking culture courses for her major
that may include trips to various cultural spots in Japan. She is very
excited to finally explore the country that she has studied and fallen
in love with in these past few years. Aside from studying, she will be
traveling to different cities, meeting new people, and learning things
that are impossible to learn just in a classroom.
