Bonjour!

This is a picture of one of my last sights of the US for three and a half months.  A fact that I haven't adjusted to yet.  I'll let you know when that happens!

After two flights and two broken nails, I made it to Aix-en-Provence, France, the place I will call my home for the next several months.  My host, Mme Creisson, met me at the airport in Marseille and drove me to her apartment where I will be staying.  Mme Creisson is very sweet and I feel lucky to have her as my host.  Also, she speaks English quite well which is saving me since my French is a tad rusty since I haven't had a class in a year.  She showed me how to walk to my school in town.  Along the way, we saw two brides on their way to the cathedral which is near my school.  I learned from my host that you know it is a wedding when you see ladies wearing hats!  It made me think of the royal wedding.  I guess that is something France and England have in common.  Soon, I will be on my way to a open house at my school.  It is a chance to meet the staff and other students.  I'll let you know how it goes!

Au revoir!

Julie

P.S. Here's a picture from my room! I'm spoiled.
