Semester Courses

American College Dublin offers a diverse range of study abroad courses in fields such as liberal arts, business, and hospitality, allowing students to choose up to six courses per semester. Alongside local and international peers, students can dive into subjects that align with their academic and career goals. For those interested in the arts, ACD also offers specialized courses like musical theatre and performing arts (with optional one-on-one training for an additional fee), providing a well-rounded and immersive educational experience in the heart of Dublin.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, you must be at least 18 years old and enrolled in a higher education institution for the upcoming year. Proficient English skills are necessary, but there’s no need to take an official language test, making it accessible for non-native speakers. Some programs request a minimum GPA of 3.2 without other test scores, but this requirement may vary by program. This inclusive approach allows motivated students with diverse experiences to study in Ireland without the stress of rigid entry criteria.

Academic Credit

At American College Dublin, study abroad students earn academic credit for courses based on classroom instruction and study time. Each course is assigned a specific number of credit hours, between 3 and 6 ECTS (1.5 and 3 US credits), and credits are typically transferable to the student’s home institution, subject to approval. Students must take between 3 and 6 classes, and are encouraged to consult with their home institution to ensure course credits align with their academic goals.
