Universidad Veritas offers a diverse array of course options that enhance both academic knowledge and Spanish fluency. Students can select up to four courses each term, which may include a mix of electives and Intensive Spanish language classes. Before departure, it’s advisable to seek approval for twice the number of elective courses intended to ensure flexibility in scheduling. Additionally, a two-part Spanish placement exam will assess language proficiency, allowing students to be placed in the most appropriate level before arrival. Veritas University in Costa Rica offers diverse summer programs that blend academic learning with cultural immersion. Programs are flexible, running for 4 to 10 weeks throughout the summer, allowing students to choose a duration that fits their schedule. There is no English language test requirement, making it accessible for a broader range of students. Additionally, candidates must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.60 to ensure they are adequately prepared for the academic challenges of the program. This combination of age, education, language proficiency, and academic performance creates a supportive environment for all participants.

Academic Credit

At Universidad Veritas, diverse courses help students earn credit toward graduation while improving their Spanish fluency. Known for its strong programs in the arts, the university also explores Costa Rican history and culture. Classes meet for 48-60 contact hours, providing 3-4 US credits per course. Students can choose up to four courses each semester, including electives and Intensive Spanish language classes. A two-part online Spanish placement exam ensures proper language level placement, with language courses offered in 4-week blocks worth 4 credits each, enhancing both academic and cultural experiences.
