MFA in Film offers streams in Screenwriting and Production.
In the MFA in Production, you'll embark on a two-year program, taking courses with our faculty of award-winning filmmakers and completing a thesis film or digital work. You'll have access to extensive production facilities and computing equipment.
In Canada's only dedicated MFA in Screenwriting, you'll receive training from renowned faculty in all aspects of writing for the screen, including television and cinema.
During first term, you may take courses in all three streams: Production, Screenwriting, Cinema & Media Studies.
You’ll be closely connected to Toronto's vibrant film scene, with research centres like the Toronto International Film Festival Group Film Reference Library, more than 100 film festivals (including TIFF), and production companies and co-ops that provide opportunities and connections to help launch careers.

Sound & Moving Images Library (SMIL) — one of the largest collections of films, videos and DVDs in the country - is an invaluable resource for all film students.
Scott Library offers thousands of books, journals and periodicals pertaining to film, including a large collection of screenplays.
