- The Department's course structure is designed to provide students with a sound grasp of economic theory and analysis while also equipping them with the tools of pragmatic analysis. Courses are consequently notconfined to any specific school of thought or discipline but are designed rather, to familiarize students with the entire specturm of economic thought and analysis. This approach is reinforced by offering students elective courses in such fields as agricultural economics, econometrics and finance and development.
