- Program Description:
- This 39-credit hour master's program was designed to meet the standards of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education. It emphasizes a broad-based higher education and leadership focus. Unique to this program is an emphasis on diversity in higher education, including a required course on "diversity and equity in higher ed," as well as a required, individualized diversity cognate for all students. This diversity cognate can be fulfilled by traditional classroom based courses, travel abroad, participation in focused workshops/conferences, and independent studies. The program has one 300-clock hour field experience, and one 100 -clock hour Capstone experience. As part of the Capstone, students develop a final portfolio that captures the best learning and experiences during their master's program.
