Program Description:

The Department of Foreign Languages offers two degree programs, one leading to the master of education in French or Spanish, and the other to the master of arts in French or Spanish. The MA progam consists of seven seminars designed to give the students breadth and depth needed to function personally and professionally at an advanced level. They may write a thesis or take related elective courses in addition to the basic seminars in the language (30 hours). The M.Ed. program has six seminars in the langauge as well as course work in educational theory and practice. Studens maychoose these six courses from the graduate certification program, or if certified, English as a second langugage graduate certificate. (36 Hours) Both degree options include study abroad and 3-9 credit internship opportunities.
