Credits: 120 Years: 2 Campus: Etterbeek General competences at an advanced level • The students are ready for an international career with English as working language. • They are prepared to take responsibilties, can withstand stress, can act individually but can also function in a group. • They are intellectually mobile and curious, they can act upon necessary evolutions, they are prepared for life-long learning, especially in their own field of specialization. Scientific knowledge in their own field • The students have already some experience in conducting research and can consequently contribute to technological and/or scientific innovations. • They have a profound and active knowledge of the theory and applications of electronics and information technology. Programme The students have to specialize in one of the above mentioned topics by choosing a coherent package of optional course units: • Measuring, Modeling and Simulating gives a profound knowledge of modeling, system-identification, electric and electronic measurements and industrial control • Multimedia gives a profound knowledge of information theory for the treatment of signals and images for multimedia applications • Telecom gives a profound knowledge of electronic circuits and systems knowledge of telecommunications and computer-controlled systems • Informatics gives a profound knowledge of information and computer theory • Photonics gives a basic knowledge of photonics for multimedia and telecom applications Moreover, the students also have the possibility to broaden their view by choosing free optional course units.

Setting Description:

Admission decisions for students from other institutions are based upon evaluation of a complete application file. Students with a bachelor in the same field of study have direct access after the evaluation of their application file. The admission for holders of another engineering degree is based upon evaluation and approval by the curriculum council. For details please visit our website.
