Program Overview
- Program Description:
This course assumes a working knowledge of the materia medica and the classic formulae of Chinese herbal medicine, and a basic grounding in nutritional biochemistry and phytochemistry. It is the first course in this field in the UK to combine the art of prescribing for the individual and complex illness with a postgraduate approach in which the student group takes a significant role in researching, presenting and debating material. The course, together with the undergraduate Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine, meets the current entry requirements of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM). Accreditation with the European Herbal Practitioners Association (EHPA) is currently being sought.

- Requirements:
- You will hold a good Honours degree in Herbal Medicine, an equivalent professional qualification and associated work experience, or a qualification deemed suitable by the course team. Where equivalence is accepted, the length, depth and content and orientation of the syllabus, of course followed, will be considered. You will need the higher education skills required for postgraduate - level study, including evidence of research, critiquing and academic writing skills, IT, reflective practice and communication together with a collaborative approaches to working. If your first language is not English you should have an IELTS score of at least 6.5 (with 6.0 minimum in each component).
