Program Overview
- Program Description:
Five AACSB-accredited business schools in Georgia, Georgia College & State University, Georgia Southern University, Kennesaw State University, University of West Georgia, and Valdosta State University have developed an exclusively web-based Master of Business Administration (WebMBA) Program to reach those markets in Georgia not served by traditional delivery systems. The WebMBA Program encourages work force development by Georgia citizens who recognize the correlation between education and more sophisticated levels of market structures. The five schools have pooled resources to offer this WebMBA Program in a consortium arrangement hallmarked by quality management education. All schools participate equally in offering courses and admitting students who matriculate on a common but flexible curriculum.
Each school admits students according to its own standards, but all students who are accepted by one school are eligible to take classes from the other consortium schools. Students will graduate from the school at which they are admitted.
A work experience requirement is the only special admission criteria over and above the requirements for admission into the traditional MBA. Students enrolled in this program are required to have at least two years of documented professional work experience.
Students are admitted to a cohort group and will progress through the program with that group. Each emember school in the consortium has a limited number of slots for a cohort group. The best students will be selected for admission from those who apply. The program is open to students who qualify, regardless of undergraduate major. Preference for admission will be given to residents of the State of Georgia.
