The M.Ed. and the Alternative M.Ed. degree program in business education is designed to prepare professional personnel for competency in teaching, research, curriculum development, evaluation, and supervision of business curricula. The M.Ed. program in business education provides students with a foundation in 1) research methods, 2) issues and trends in business education, 3) tests and measurements, 4) instructional strategies, 5) vocational work experience programs, and 5) computer technology. Thirty-six semester hours of course work are required for the program, including 9 hours from the College of Education, 21 hours from the business education content area, and 6 hours of electives from the College of Business.
The Ed.S. program in business education is designed to upgrade the skill, understanding, and knowledge of business education teachers at all levels (secondary school, vocational-technical school, junior college, and four-year college). Twenty-seven hours beyond the master's degree are required for the program.
