Program Overview

Program Description:
This MA programme will study the central themes of Wittgenstein’ work and allow candidates to explore in their dissertations the issues that are of most interest to them. The connection with Wittgenstein’s life and thought goes back to the 1940s, when one of his former students at Cambridge, Rush Rhees (1905-1989), was a Lecturer at Swansea. Swansea University has excellent resources for the study of Wittgenstein’s work. Extensive library holdings on every aspect of Wittgenstein’s thought, including all of Wittgenstein’s writings are available in a searchable electronic format.
