The Faculty of Law at UWE is regarded as one of the leading institutions in the country for the quality of its teaching. It has been deemed 'excellent' by the Government's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), and the Faculty ranked 14th in a league table published by the Guardian in May 2001, compiled on the basis of data from the QAA. It also has a growing reputation for legal research, and this is reflected in the increasing number of staff who are actively publishing in their areas of expertise. Many members of the academic staff who teach on the LLM courses are leaders in their respective fields, publishing legal analyses, articles and monographs, and presenting papers at conferences around the world. You can read about the work of individual members of staff by accessing the Faculty of Law web pages.
