- Program Description:
The Integrated Biomedical Sciences (IBMS) Graduate Program is a dynamic, truly integrated, multidisciplinary program comprised of seven disciplines.
The disciplines are
- Biology of Aging
- Cancer Biology
- Cell Biology, Genetics and Molecular Medicine
- Infection, Inflammation, and Immunity
- Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry
- Neuroscience
- Physiology and Pharmacology
Students matriculating into the IBMS are given the opportunity to customize their educational experience and realize their unique interests and professional aspirations.
To accomplish this mission, trainees choose coursework, an area of research, and a mentor based on their interests and professional goals. The IBMS program partners with businesses and community organizations to empower students by providing internships and potential employment opportunities.

- Requirements:
- Applicants are required to have a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree and must have taken the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). GRE scores must be from tests taken within five years of applying for admission. While there is no official minimum requirement, successful applicants generally have a minimum combined score of 315. Course requirements include one year of inorganic and organic chemistry and associated laboratory courses, one year of physics, one Semester of calculus or statistics, two years of biology, and analytical and physical chemistry is recommended.
- International Requirements:
- International students are required to take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS). The minimum required score for the TOEFL is 68 for iBT. The minimum score for the academic version of the IELTS test is 6.5. Scores for either test must have been taken within two years of applying for admission.
