Program Description:

The Infection, Inflammation and Immunity (Triple I) discipline of the Integrated Biomedical Sciences program seeks to advance knowledge in the areas of immunology and host-pathogen interactions. By training the next generation of scientists, we hope to promote development of new vaccines and therapies of the future.Students in the Triple I discipline learn about the basic principles, properties and functions of the immune system, the pathogenesis of bacteria, viruses and fungi and the impact of immune system on microbial infections, inflammation, autoimmunity and cancer. 

ADMISSIONS AT A GLANCE

Students receive a stipend of $26,000. Tuition, fees, and basic student health insurance are covered by the program. Typically tuition is covered by the program in the first year and by faculty mentor or other grant sources thereafter.

Requirements

 

  • GPA no lower than 3.0 (B)
  • Submit transcripts to Office of the Registrar
  • Letters of Recommendation from professors 
  • Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree with coursework in chemistry, physics, biology,etc.
    • Fall/January 15 (Priority)
    • Fall/March 15 (Final)
