SMALL PROGRAM, BIG OPPORTUNITY The new Master of Arts in Psychology program at UTB/TSC offers you an international education in the U.S. A small program in tropical South Texas, you will work alongside professors doing cross-disciplinary research in a mainly Hispanic, bilingual community — a snapshot of America’s future. With individual attention and faculty expertise in such specialties as social, experimental, and industrial and organizational psychology, you’ll be well-prepared for a new career or doctoral studies. PROFESSIONAL MENTORSHIP Your professors will encourage your development as a professional psychologist beyond the classroom. The low student-teacher ratio in the program ensures that you will receive individual mentoring, whatever your career goals. You will work with your professors doing socially relevant, cutting-edge research in such areas as diabetes prevention and workplace gender relations. You will also be encouraged by the faculty to present at conferences and publish papers, establishing a persuasive track record for job interviews and doctoral program applications. START ANY SEMESTER Unlike most universities, the psychology program at UTB/TSC allows you to enter in any semester, including summer sessions. To be admitted, you need a bachelor’s in any discipline and 12 upper-division, undergraduate psychology credit hours that include statistics and research methods, in addition to meeting general admission requirements.
