Program Description:

The Materials Science and Engineering Program at UT Austin is interdisciplinary, bringing together faculty from several departments in the Colleges of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Graduate study and research are offered in the broad areas of the structure and properties, thermodynamics and kinetics, materials, growth, processing, and producibility and reliability of ceramic, electronic, ionic, magnetic, metallic, optical, polymeric, and structural materials.
