- Program Description:
- The Master of Arts in English program provides students with the opportunity to develop their analytical, writing, and editing skills and to strengthen their critical thinking skills highly valued by employers. Its goals are to deepen students' knowledge of English and American literature, broaden their perspective through multicultural courses and enhance their understanding of the essential role language has in thought, values, and self-development. The program aims to strengthen and expand participants' professional and personal qualifications, whether this means improving the effectiveness of secondary teaching, engaging the fields of community college instruction or book publishing and editing, creating an effective bridge between the bachelor's degree and entry into Ph.D. programs, or simply participating in a life-enhancing scholarly community.

- Minimum of five undergraduate courses in English literature beyond the first year level with a GPA of 3.0 or better and an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
- International Requirements:
