Program Description:

In an era of increased globalization, digitization and collaboration, museums have evolved into important and vital sites for community engagement and public dialogue. The University of San Francisco offers a unique Master’s Degree in Museum Studies that prepares its graduates for positions of leadership in artistic, cultural and heritage organizations operating within this constantly changing social dynamic.

The Museum Studies Program focuses on design and curatorial practice; education and new technologies; conservation and heritage preservation; and arts and cultural management, financial management and project management. Students integrate and apply knowledge and disciplines in order to analyze global issues – from equality and diversity, to social justice and human rights.
