In the Computer-Assisted Learning field, a number of multi-media titles are under development, on subjects ranging from language learning to cycad identification. Honours and Masters programmes in Computer-Assisted Learning are offered.The Department is also applying information technology to genealogical research with its Genealogical Information Systems project. In addition to the development and maintenance of a Genealogical Information System for genealogical researchers, the project also aims to develop a National Genealogical Information System and Database.
