- The MASc and MEng programs cover a broad range of topics within electrical and computer engineering. The discipline involves the design and manufacturing of electrical and computer technologies and their component parts, as well as the integration of electrical components into complex systems. Electrical and computer engineering arises in numerous industries including electronics, computer, telecommunications, software, biomedical, power transmission and many others. MASc students obtain their degree through successful completion of a combination of course-work and a research thesis, while MEng students achieve their degrees through course-based learning, with the option to carry out a major project. The PhD program will commence in September 2009. Students can focus their study in one of the following three fields: communications and signal processing; software systems; and control systems. PhD students will obtain their degree through successful completion of a combination of courses and a dissertation.
