Program Description:

The objective of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Information Technology Security (MITS) combined program is to prepare graduates to work at the middle management and executive levels of information technology in both private and public sectors. The MBA program enables the degree holder to provide organizations with a business management skill set such that it raises the competitiveness of the entity and leads not only to a comparative advantage but retains higher skilled and thus higher income jobs within the province. The MITS program prepares graduates to work in the high-demand Information Technology (IT) Security industry or in private and public sector organizations where information security is a critical element of business. The combined MBA-MITS program will not only emphasize excellence in graduate-level business but also in information technology security knowledge including soundness in the soft skills (i.e., interpersonal relations, team building, and communication) and in business and IT ethics. This program is unique in Ontario and will provide graduates with the combination of skills required to manage information systems departments, conduct complex audits of business and information security practices, and even act as chief security officers.
