Program Overview

Program Description:
The master of arts is a terminal degree for individuals who desire advanced theological training. The MA degree program seeks to serve the following constituencies: those teaching theology at the high school level, those seeking to serve the church or diocese in an enhanced capacity, those seeking theological training to augment their work in other professional contexts (i.e, hospitals, social work, etc.), and those desiring personal enrichment. There are six areas of concentration for the MA in theology: biblical studies, history of Christianity, liturgical studies, moral theology, spirituality, and systematic
theology.
