Program Overview

Program Description:
The online Health Administration Graduate Certificate is designed to prepare individuals with diverse backgrounds already in the health-care industry or those wishing to enter the fast-growing and rapidly changing health-care profession. This part-time, online program will focus on enhancing your management and administrative skills for the health-care setting. With the Health Administration Graduate Certificate program, you will explore the: -evolution of health systems and the organizational challenges of administration from human resources to management in times of scarce resources. -historic and contemporary trends in health-care delivery in the United States, including cost-containment issues, access to health care, and efforts to reform. -aspects of the law related to health-care delivery such as compliance, liability, and bioethics. -economy of health care as a driving force of health-care policy in America. This program is designed for working professionals. Fully online, you will participate in "live" Web classes typically held one evening per week. You are NOT required to come to campus at any time. Pay in-state tuition rates for online courses regardless of where you live. Compared to paying the out-of-state tuition rate, this can translate into big savings for you! All courses in the Graduate Certificate program may be applied to a fully-online Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree should you be admitted at a later date.
