Program Overview

Program Description:
The dual degree MBA/MS-IS program is designed for information systems professionals and others who wish to strengthen their competencies, gain greater knowledge and understanding, and further their positions as leaders in the field of information systems management. The program provides preparation for students interested in eventually seeking positions as Chief Information Officers through in-depth coverage of information systems and broad coverage of business issues. Courses such as IT Security, IT Policy and Strategy, and other advanced topics in computing and information systems development provide students with expertise in information systems, while MBA courses provide knowledge of business functions within an organization. Students completing the degree will have an understanding of organizational issues and challenges facing information systems managers and will acquire the skills needed to manage information systems functions.
