Program Overview

Program Description:
This dual degree program combines the faculties of two renowned educational institutions: George Mason University’s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, the oldest and largest programme of graduate conflict studies in the United States, and the University of Malta’s Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies, which has been offering advanced degrees in diplomacy and building bridges between Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East for the past twenty years. The teaching faculty will be provided by S-CAR and MEDAC who will share teaching responsibilities in this program and upon completion students will be awarded with two degrees, one from each institution.

Upon completion the student will be awarded with two degrees on from from University of Malta MA MA in Conflict Resolution and Mediterranean Security and another from George Mason University - MSc Conflict Analysis and Resolution. The programme carries 90 ECTS. (European Credits Transfer System)
Setting Description:
All lectures are held on block basis and are held in Valletta. The first two semesters are taught and the third and last semester is devoted for the dissertation.

The MA in Conflict Resolution and Mediterranean security combines two degrees one from George Mason University (USA) and the other from the University of Malta (EU). Students will be enrolled at the two Universities and will have access to electronic libraries and other services at both institut
