- The Master of Arts in English offers a strong foundation in the traditional canon of English and American literature, together with instruction in modern critical theories and teaching pedagogy, for students seeking to go on to further study, teaching, or a variety of careers involving writing. With over 20 graduate faculty and under 50 graduate students, this program features small classes and individual mentoring. Those students with TeachingAssistantships have the opportunity to teach their own section of first-year composition to undergraduates.
