- Program Description:
The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at the University of Indianapolis is a professional program with a concentration in health disparities -- preventable differences in the health of various populations. Centered on the core public health values of community collaboration and social justice, UIndy’s MPH program intentionally combines academic preparation in current public health knowledge with planned, community-based projects embedded throughout coursework, plus an intensive professional practice experience. This unique curriculum, offered entirely through hybrid and online classes, provides UIndy MPH students the ability to practice essential skills for improving population health such as program planning, monitoring and evaluation, grant writing, culturally competent communication, advocacy, and leadership for improvement of public health.
UIndy's MPH classes are offered in a combination of online and hybrid (online/weekend on-campus) formats. Most courses will be delivered completely online. In total, the two-year program will require three trips to the UIndy campus. Program Length The UIndy MPH is a 45-credit program designed to be completed in two years, including summers.
