Program Description:

Israel is one of the world's most advanced countries for water management and renewable energy solutions, and a leader in developing innovative and sustainable technologies. This accumulated knowledge is embodied in the University of Haifa Graduate School of Management's new MBA program, which trains the next generation of leaders in the subject of sustainable business management. The Global Green MBA is unique in Israel for its focus on issues of environmental and social sustainability that are increasingly at the heart of business managers' responsibilities. This new MBA program seeks to promote sustainability-oriented leadership by providing students with the essential tools for business management and incorporating leading-edge principles of sustainability throughout the curriculum. Students who complete the program will be awarded an MBA degree, with a specialization in sustainability from the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management in the Graduate School of Management. The Academic Program The Global Green MBA is intended for an international class of students, with English as the teaching language. It is an intensive full-time program taught over three consecutive semesters from October through September. The program includes a core of business administration courses, together with a range of both compulsory and elective courses on topics related to sustainability and environmental management. Students are required to complete twenty core courses and a minimum of two courses from a choice of electives. A mandatory field project offers students the opportunity to integrate and apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in the MBA curriculum to a real-world, business-related case study. The program combines high academic standards with an international learning environment and provides superb opportunities for advanced learning and extensive cross-cultural exchange. The program is particularly appropriate for young graduates who are interested in a master's degree in business that addresses the challenging issues of environmental sustainability. Previous business experience is an advantage, but is not compulsory.

Requirements:

Candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree from a recognized university, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or the equivalent. Students must complete the GMAT exam with a minimum score that will be determined periodically. Candidates with a relevant graduate degree or with significant managerial experience can apply for GMAT exemption.

International Requirements:

An excellent command of the English language is required.
