- Graduate programs leading to the degrees of Master of Engineering and Doctor of Engineering are offered by the department. Students with an interest in management can pursue a Master of Engineering Management degree with an emphasis on mechanical engineering. The programs of study are tailored to the student's individual interests in consultation with a faculty adviser. There are excellent opportunities for advanced theoretical and experimental study in the areas of mechanical systems, manufacturing, and thermo/fluid systems. Many research projects are simulated by the University's partnership with Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors as well as their supplier community. Substantial research support also comes from the Department of Defense and the National Science Foundation.
