Program Description:

The aim of the program is to produce leaders in Public Horticulture with a broad understanding of public gardens, their role and function.
This two year program:

  • emphasizes the administration, leadership and management of public gardens and their diverse operations,
  • offers students opportunities to gain practical experience by working with the Director and members of the Horticulture, Maintenance and Services Departments of Longwood Gardens, and
  • is appropriate for individuals interested in careers in arboreta, botanic gardens, horticultural societies, park systems, civic garden centers, and related institutions.
