Program Description:

Modern microbiology is a flourishing science at the University of Chicago; we attract excellent students and post-graduate scientists from around the world, who continue to push the frontiers of microbiological sciences. Although Microbiology is an accomplished discipline at the University, the Committee on Microbiology is a relatively new enterprise. It will continue to expand in the next years with the recruitment of new faculty and the completion of new research space. Our goals are not only to create an energized, cutting-edge research enterprise but also to be a fun place to do science.
