- The UCT English Language Centre is located within the vibrant Faculty of Humanities, the second largest and most academically diverse faculty at the University of Cape Town. We offer General English, business English, and preparation courses for the IELTS, TOEFL, FCE or CAE exams. We also offer secure and affordable accommodation to our students.

The lessons are based on real-life themes, topics and ideas to help you engage with the language in an exciting and relevant way, and as part of our learner-centred approach, you and your classmates will have the chance to give feedback to your teacher on what kind of topics and activities you want to do in in class. You will also have regular individual tutorial sessions, where your teacher will review your work over the previous few weeks and suggest areas to focus on and techniques to help you improve more quickly.

- Our newly refurbished English language premises are equipped with the latest classroom technology, and offer a modern and stylish learning environment. The UCT English Language Centre is located at the University’s Hiddingh Campus in the heart of the city. It is a short walk from Cape Town’s vibrant cultural and historic centre, and has easy access to the beaches and local attractions.
