Program Description:

 The Pupil Personnel Services Credential Program—School Counseling Emphasis at UCR Extension opens the door to a rewarding profession that allows you to assist students in becoming productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.

The credential authorizes the holder to perform school counseling duties in grades K-12. The coursework, practica, and field experience have been designed to provide knowledge, skills, and practical experiences required to be a successful school counselor at the elementary school, middle school/junior high, and high school level.

The Specialization in School Counseling authorizes the holder to perform the following duties:
