The MPhil in Solid Earth Physics is offered in four different fields of study: Seismology,Paleomagnetism, Magnetics/gravimetry and Petroleum geophysics. The MPhilprogrammes are primarily targeted at students from developing countries and the formerEastern block. The intention is to qualify candidates for teaching and research in SolidEarth Physics and for employment in branches of exploration geophysics and publicservices.
