Program Description:
Although some universities offer graduate degrees in graphic design, computer graphics, information architecture or video production, the M.F.A. in Integrated Design program focuses on the integration of these media and allows you to explore their similarities and differences. The program is built on the premise that 21st-century designers must be fluent in multiple media: expert in motion graphics/video, integrated media and Web-based technologies in addition to print. You’ll learn the core principles of design and creative concept development as well as the nuances of applying excellence in design to any media. Because courses are taught in the evenings, our faculty includes many professional designers with recognized credentials who attract students who are serious about learning design from the best instructors.

-A bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA from an accredited college or university and a 3.25 GPA in any M.F.A.-required course already completed at UB, if applicable. -Completed online application. -Official transcripts from all prior colleges or universities. -Two letters of Recommendation. -Statement of interest. -An appropriate design portfolio that demonstrates your skill and knowledge.
