- Master of Arts in Counseling with emphasis in Rehabilitation Counseling program, also known as the Rehabilitation Counseling Program at UALR, is a fully accredited 54 hour online graduate degree program that seeks to prepare rehabilitation counseling professionals to provide direct services and resource coordination for individuals with disabilities that are seeking to re-enter the labor market. In addition, students complete one hundred (100) hours of practicum experience and 600 hundred (600) hours of internship experience. The Rehabilitation Counseling Program is offered in an eighteen month sequence through web based courses that are accessed online. Students review lectures, participate in asynchronous class discussions, and take exams completely online. Students are admitted to either full time or part time study. A primary objective of the Master of Arts in Counseling with emphasis in Rehabilitation Counseling Program is to permit graduates to qualify for national certification as rehabilitation counselors (CRC).

- Complete an application to the UALR Graduate School. This application can be completed online at the UALR Graduate School website. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education. GPA: Overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher, or 3.25 GPA in the last 60 hours. Interview, either face-to-face or by telephone, with a program faculty member or a designated representative in the Rehabilitation Counseling Program. . Achieve the scores on the (GRE): 440 on the Verbal and 560 on the Quantitative Scales. Achieve the score on the MAT of 391 Interview, either face-to-face or by telephone, with a program faculty member or a designated representative in the Rehabilitation Counseling Program.
