Program Overview
- Program Description:
- The European Master in Applied Econometrics is organised by a consortium of six EU partner universities. It is certified by all partner universities and awarded at the consortium?s annual graduation ceremony. To obtain the European Master in Applied Econometrics degree the students have to take econometrics as well as advanced economics courses and specialise in an economic field of their choice with an emphasis on empirical aspects. The students are required to spend one semester at one of the partner universities and to write a dissertation, which is jointly supervised by faculty members from to at least two partner universities. The Master Programme takes the form of a fifth year in the Bachelor-Master context and consists of 60 ECTS credits. In most countries this means that it coincides with the last year of the Master-studies; in other countries the Programme is defined as a postgraduate specialisation after the regular Master studies. Each student should meet the requirements imposed by the home university to obtain the local diploma, if a corresponding degree at the home university exists. At least 30 ECTS credits must be earned at a partner university. These will include at least 15 ECTS credits in coursework and 15 credits for dissertation work.
