- Program Description:
- Applications will be considered by the various research programs. Although applications will be considered at any time, due to the limited number of positions available, applicants are encouraged to apply at least six months in advance of the September admissions date. All students receive financial support, bringing their stipend up to the level set by the Canadian Institute of Health Research (currently ~ $18,000 p.a.). Students are expected to apply for funding from other sources. Students may receive assistance towards the cost of their university fees/tuition from the Department of Ophthalmology to a maximum of $2,000 per academic year (if funds are available). The Department of Ophthalmology's normal admission requirements are those of the Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research, but with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent during each of the previous two years of university and a TOEFL score of at least 580 (where applicable).
