Program Description:

At the masterÆs level, we offer preparation for nurse practitioners in Adult, Family, Neonatal, Pediatrics, and WomenÆs Health. In addition, we prepare Nurse Educators, Nurse Administrators, and Quality Outcomes Managers for health care systems. Two of our options are available on-line, Family Nurse Practitioner and Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner. The later being one of the few programs in the country and the only one available on-line. We are committed to access to quality education through our RN to MSN track and we stress preparation of culturally competent nurses for advanced practice roles.At the doctoral level, we offer a research-intensive PhD program that admits students for study either at the post-baccalaureate or masterÆs level. The former option, BSN entry, is streamlined for students who desire to jump-start their careers. Students select one of three focal areas where they will experience guided research experiences with faculty mentors who have active programs of research in the field. Students who desire nurse educator preparation may do so with a specially designed program.
