Program Description:

Chemical Engineering often involves the close collaboration of engineers and scientists from a variety of disciplines. The recent developments in process design together with awareness of environmental and safety issues daily show the importance of this collaboration. The masters programme includes an advanced plant design and a research project. Chemical engineering forms a special study within the Faculty of Chemistry, which has been accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in the UK. In consequence the diploma fulfils the examination requirements for graduate membership in the Institution of Chemical Engineers. After two or three years approved training and experience, the graduate member may apply for corporate membership and to be registered as Chartered Engineer.
