Program Description:

Founded in 1994, the Tufts MD/MBA program is one of the oldest and largest in the US. In 2012 the program had 50 enrolled students in all four years. Management and health policy courses are limited during the medical school year to ensure the least interference with the student’s medical curriculum. Two-thirds of the MBA coursework is done at Brandeis University’s Heller School in the summers before the student's first and second years in medical school. Tufts University School of Medicine, in the heart of downtown Boston, is affiliated with 36 other medical centers and hospitals, providing its students a wide range of clinical experience. Brandeis University’s Heller School was established in 1959. Since 1977, a masters degree program has prepared managers for human services positions in both the public and private sectors, combining cutting-edge management training with social policy.
