- The University of Limerick was established in 1972 as the National Institute for Higher Education, Limerick and classified as the University of Limerick in 1989. Limerick is an independent, internationally focused university with over 10,534 students. Irish Writing in English, Visual Culture in Ireland 1400-1950, Sociological Perspectives on Irish, Screening Ireland: Ireland in Film and Television, Creative Writing, Law in Ireland, 'Historical Perspectives of Justice in Ireland: Folk Devils, Fornicators and Families', 'Terrorism, Crime & Justice', Irish Myths and Legends, International Financial Markets and Trading, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Business Tools for Social Projects. Students enroll in one class for three weeks for 3.0 semester hours of credit.
