- This 39-hour Master of Arts degree is designed to provide graduate students the knowledge, skills, and experience to develop and lead developmental and adult education programs. For example, learning assistance centers and tutorial and remedial instruction programs at two- and four-year colleges and universities; adult literacy and education programs; workplace basic skills programs, alternative, compensatory, or supplemental instruction programs for school-aged youth; education services in non-profit organizational settings; community-based educational programs; and pre-college to college transition programs.
